Obituary: Pauline Wansierski – 12 September 1927
Pauline Wansierski
Mrs. J. M. Wanserski aged 63 years and a pioneer resident near Galloway, Marathon County, passed away at 3 o’clock this morning as the results of paralytic strokes, the first of which she suffered on Sunday. This affected her right side, while a second one yesterday morning paralyzed her left side, rendering her wholly unconscious. She had been in poor health for a long time prior to the fatal attacks.
Mrs. Wanserski, whose maiden name was Eichendorf, had the distinction of being born aboard ship while her parents were crossing the Atlantic to make a new home in the United States, emigrating here from Germany.
Besides her husband, who is a retired farmer, the deceased is survived be six sons and daughters, as follows: Martin, Galloway: John, Rosholt; Victor, now operating the old home farm; Mrs. Mary Wanserski of New Hope; Mrs. Adolph Zabrowski, Galloway; Mrs. Tom Milanowski, Rosholt.
The brothers and sisters are: Peter Eichendorf, Stevens Point; Andrew Eichendorf, Plover; Julius Eichendorf, Knowlton; Mrs. Anton Somionka and Mrs. Augusta Osowski, Wyandotte, Michigan; Mrs Anton Malek, Ashland.
The funeral will be held from Sacred Heart church, Polonia next Saturday morning, with burial in the parish cemetery.
