Wedding Wednesday – Joseph Mecha and Maria Kobs (1894)

I would like to participate in Wednesday’s daily blogging theme called, “Weddings Wednesday”. I would like to share the Milwaukee County (Milwaukee, WI) Registration of Marriage of my 2nd great grand Aunt, Maria Kobs and her first husband Joseph Mecha. The details are as follows:

On October 16, 1894, at St. Josaphat’s Church, located in Milwaukee, Joseph Mecha and Maria Kobs were married, by Rev. W. Grutza.

Joseph is the son of Franciszek and Anna Tomasz, born in Obrzenica, a laborer and resides in Milwaukee. Maria Kobs is the daughter of Paul and Rozalia Grochowska and was born in Milwaukee. The witnesses were Joseph Kobs and Frank Mecha.
