UWM – Golda Meier Library
Hello,
The family and I, have just gotten back from vacation in upper Wisconsin/Michigan. The fiancee has family that live there, so we try to visit yearly during the summer. It was a great time and can’t wait until we go up there again!
With the weekend winding down and the work week slowly creeping up over my shoulder, I had used Sunday as a research opportunity. I drove down to my friend Kirt’s house and we made the trip to the Golda Meier Library, located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. http://www.uwm.edu/Libraries/arch/genie.htm
While I was there, my main mission was to find either a Marriage record or Marriage certificate for Pawel Kobs and Rosalia Grochowska. They were married at St. Stanislaus Parish in Milwaukee, on October 26, 1873. This has been a tough marriage find. I had searched the films with no avail. I am still hoping that I will find these records one day…. with these records I could possibly find Pawel Kobs’ parents, which would verify he was truely the brother of Felix and Joannes Kobs. I will keep searching……..
Until my next post,
