I would like to participate in Sunday’s daily blogging theme called, “Sunday’s Obituary”. Below, I have transcribed the obituary of Paul Kobs (my 2nd great grand Uncle). The obituary was listed in the Milwaukee Journal on Thursday, March 7, 1963. The obituary is as follows:

Kobs: Paul, Mar. 6, aged 82 years, of 801 W. Maple st., beloved father of Frank, Theodore, Henry, Adolph, and Sylvia Hilden, brother of Frank Kobs, father-in-law of Pearl, Lorraine, Mary, and Joseph, brother-in-law of Nettie and Mollie Kobs; further survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral Sat. at 8:30 a.m., from the Fennig Funeral Home, 525 W. Lincoln av. Services at ST. ANTHONY’S church, S. 9th and W. Mitchell sts., 9 a.m. Internment St. Adalbert’s. In state Fri. after 2 p.m. Parish vigil Fri., 7:30 p.m.
