St. Vincent de Paul Parish of Milwaukee
Hello,
In 1888, Fr. Hyacinth Gulski, who was the pastor of St. Hyacinth’s Parish, decided to split the St. Hyacinth congregation into another parish. This parish would be named St. Vincent de Paul ( sw. Wincentego). The Parish was built on S.21 St. and W. Mitchell St. This was also the third Polish church on the south side, and the fourth Polish church built in Milwaukee. (Borun, Thaddeus, We, the Milwaukee Poles (Milwaukee: Nowiny Publishing Co. 1946)).
The Parish is still in operation today and more information can be found on the Milwaukee Archdiocese website: http://www.archmil.org/parishes/ShowParish.asp?ID=208
Below are pictures of the church that were taken by my brother and I.
