St. Casimir Parish of Milwaukee
Hello,
St. Casimir’s Parish was founded in 1894, when it was decided to divide the congregation of St. Hedwig’s Parish in Milwaukee’s Riverwest section of the city. St. Casimir’s Parish is located on N. Bremen, E. Clarke and N. Weil streets (Borun, Thaddeus, We, the Milwaukee Poles (Milwaukee: Nowiny Publishing Co. 1946)).
St. Casimir’s Parish merged with St. Mary of Czestochowa Parish to form the Parish of Our Lady of Divine Providence. More information can be found on the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s website: http://www.archmil.org/parishes/ShowParish.asp?ID=309&which=History and Our Lady of Divine Providence website: http://www.oldp.4lpi.com/
