Military Monday – Stanley P. Kobs WWI Draft Registration
Hello,
I’d like to continue my participation in the Geneabloggers daily prompt for Monday, called “Military Monday“. I am posting the WWI Draft Registration card of my great-great grandfather Frank F. Kobs’ brother Stanley (my 2nd great grand uncle).
He registered on September 12th, 1918 at the Milwaukee County Registration Office #12, which was located at 143 Lincoln Avenue. He was age 34 years old, during his registration. Stanley listed his birth date as July 27, 1884. Stanley lived with his wife, Mandy (Amanda) Kobs, and children, at 731 1st Avenue, on Milwaukee’s south side. He listed his wife as his nearest relative. Stanley listed his occupation as “Retail (cannot make out this word)”, working in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The address of his place of employment is the same as his home address.
