Military Monday – John Tobiasz WWII Draft Registration
Hello,
I’d like to continue my participation in the Geneabloggers daily prompt for Monday, called “Military Monday“. I am posting the WWII Draft Registration card of my great-grandfather John Tobiasz.
This registration was required for men who were born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897. There is no exact registration date given, except that it occurred in April 1942. John listed his place of residence as 3313 W. Grant St. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He listed his age as 52, and stated that he was born on July 12, 1888, in Poland. Ernest H. Zirzow was listed as a person who will always know John’s address. Ernest was John’s neighbor, residing at 3307 W. Grant St. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. John’s place of employment was listed as International Harvest Company, located on Bruce St., in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
