This is my translation of the Latin language baptismal record of Veronica Kobs, from the St. Josaphat’s Parish – Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Any errors are completely my own.

Milwaukee, 1888, No. 9,

On January 13th, 1888, I, Rev. W. Grutza, Pastor of the St. Josaphat’s Parish, baptized the infant named Veronica. The parents were: Paweł and Rozalia Kobs nee Grochowska, the legally married couple. The child was born on the 12th of January, 1888. The Godparents were: Jan Małek and Anna Włoszczyńska.
