Genealogy Research 2008 and 2009
Hello,
One of the research tasks that had really hooked me into my genealogy research has been the history of the places where my ancestors came from. I do like the history of where they arrived and settled too, but something about learning my families’ roots really drives me to continue my research. I enjoy learning about the histories in each locality and the overall history of Poland. I have been able to learn about the Kujawy, Kaszubia, and Kociewie regions of Poland. What really drives me is that I have only scratched the surface and there is so much more to learn.
Recently, I have been recording and posting my findings from the Sacred Heart Parish (Polonia, Portage County, Wisconsin, USA) and St. Stanislaus Parish (Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA). I am almost finished with the baptisms from the Sacred Heart Parish and I should have them all posted by the end of next week.
The next set of Parish records that I will work my way through are from the Stężyca Parish (Stężyca, Kartuzy County, Pomorskie, PL). I will also continue to post any interesting things that I find while researching my ancestry. Some of the other Parishes that I will research are as follows:
