Sunday’s Obituary–Steve V. Wierzba (1988)

I would like to participate in Sunday’s daily blogging theme called, "Sunday’s Obituary". Below, I have transcribed the obituary of Steve V. Wierzba (my 1st cousin 2x removed). The obituary was listed in the Stevens Point Journal on Friday, April 15, 1988. The obituary is as follows:
Steve V. Wierzba
Steve V. Wierzba, 82, 2615 Kranski Lake Road, Rosholt, died Thursday afternoon at St. Michael’s Hospital. He had been a patient there since Monday.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia. The Rev. Herbert Zoromski will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Shuda Funeral Chapel. A general rosary will be said at 8 p.m.
Mr. Wierzba was born Dec. 23, 1905, in the town of Sharon, son of the late Michael and Emily Wierzba. As a young man he worked as a pipefitter in several states.
He was married to Lucille Jelinski on Nov. 7, 1933, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia. She survives. The couple farmed in the town of Sharon, retiring in 1971. Mr. wierzba then went to work part-time for the town of Sharon, retiring November 1987. He was an avid hunter, fisher, and trapper.
Other survivors include two daughters, Dolores (LeRoy) Wrycza, Custer, and Darlene (Bill) Phillip, Stevens Point; seven sons, Albert (Gayle), Elderon, Donald (Arlene), Stevens Point, and Henry (Alice), Lawrence (Christine), Jack (Marilyn), William and Michael, all of Rosholt; one sister, Theresa (Albin) Wroblewski, Cecil; five brothers, Jacob, Gallaway, Joseph (Celia) and Peter of Rosholt, Isadore (Delphine), Rothschild, and Michael (Emily), Custer; and 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One son, two brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death.
