Sunday’s Obituary–Joseph N. Wierzba

I would like to participate in Sunday’s daily blogging theme called, "Sunday’s Obituary". Below, I have transcribed the obituary of Joseph N. Wierzba (my 1st cousin 2x removed). The obituary was listed in the Stevens Point Journal on Thursday, May 20, 1993. The obituary is as follows:
Joseph N. Wierzba
Joseph N. Wierzba, 91, 460 E. Grand Ave., Rosholt, died Wednesday, May 19, 1993, at his hoe following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia. The Rev. Al Wozniak will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the Dzikoski/Pisarski Funeral Home, where the rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Wierzba was born March 15, 1902, in the town of Sharon, to the late Michael and Amelia Wierzba. He attended town of Sharon schools.
He was married to Cecelia Sekerka on May 26, 1931, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. After the marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point where he worked for Wisconsin Public Service until 1945. They then moved to Rosholt and farmed there until his retirement in 1966.
They have lived at the present address the past 27 years. She survives.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors besides his wife include one daughter, Agnes (Wilfred) Steffanus, Custer; two sons, Joseph (Geraldine) Jr., Rosholt; and George (Jannette), Milwaukee; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jacob, Wittenberg, Peter (Anna), Rosholt, Izadore (Delphine), Rothschild, and Michael (Emily), Custer; and one sister, Theresa (Albin) Wroblewski, Shawano.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and two grandsons.
