I would like to add to my new series of posts called “Read it in the Newspapers”. I will try to post one transcribed article, taken from a newspaper and about my ancestors, every week. The article below was titled “Fountain Grove Briefs”, from the Stevens Point Daily Journal. I’ve taken two portions of the article, which contain a short description of a 27th wedding anniversary party and a friendly visit amongst neighbors.
Fountain Grove Briefs
Fountain Grove, Amherst, Feb 5– Friends and relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Trzebiatowski to help celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary. Among those present were: Mr. and Mrs. John Wierzba; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Iwanski, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Konkol, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Cera, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wierzba, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sopa, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Trzebiatowski, Mr. and Mrs. Agust Szulfer, Florian Sopa, John Polly, Mrs. Bertha Suskie, Edward Gagas, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kedrowski. The evening was spent in playing cards and dancing. Lunch was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Trzebiatowski spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Martin Wierzba at Fancher.
