Military Monday – Michael Wierzba WWI Draft Registration (Portage County, WI)
Hello,
I’d like to continue my participation in the Geneabloggers daily prompt for Monday, called “Military Monday“. I am posting the WWI Draft Registration card of my great-grand uncle Michael Wierzba, who was the brother of my great-grandfather Vincent Wierzba.
He registered on September 12, 1918 at the Portage County Registration Office, which was located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He was aged 44 years old, during his registration. Mike listed his birth date as September 15, 1873. Mike lived with his wife and children, on his farmstead, at Route 2, Rosholt, Wisconsin. Mike listed his occupation as “farmer”, working on the family farmstead that he owned, at Route 2, Rosholt, Wisconsin. Mike listed his daughter, Elisabeth Gagas, who also lived at Route 2, Rosholt, Wisconsin, as his nearest relative.
