Military Monday – Matt Woyak WWI Draft Registration (Portage County, WI)
Hello,
I’d like to continue my participation in the Geneabloggers daily prompt for Monday, called “Military Monday“. I am posting the WWI Draft Registration card of my 1st cousin 2x removed, Matt Woyak, who was the nephew of my great-grandfather Vincent Wierzba.
Matt registered on June 5, 1917 at the Alban Precinct Office, which was located in Alban, Wisconsin. He was aged 28 years old, during his registration. Matt listed his birth date as February 18, 1889 and that he was naturally born in Sharon, Portage, Wisconsin. Matt lived with his wife and 7 children, at Alban, Rosholt, Portage, Wisconsin. Matt listed his occupation as “farmer”, working on his farmstead, in the Town of Alban, Portage, Wisconsin.
