Digging For Connections
Hello,
It’s been a long time since my last post. Work and home life have taken priority over the past two years. I’m not sure how often I’ll post in the upcoming months, but I’d like to start small with this post.
The main reason for this post is to collect my thoughts and share my “bug” or “itch” that I’ve recently gotten. One of my main genealogical research goals that really drives my passion for this hobby is to search for all branches of my family (extended included). This holds true especially while researching old records from Poland. Lately, my Wierzba research in Lipusz has spawned search through the following parishes: Koscierzyna, Parchowo, Wiele, Stara Kiszewa, Stezyca, and Lesno. One theory that I maintain is that when a family grows to big for a certain area or village, the offspring will branch off to nearby villages to look for a husband/wife, work, and land to live on.
As I bounce from parish to parish and from village to village, my hunt for connecting my family tree intensifies. Only if all the records for each parish and village were available…In the coming posts, I’ll add my findings of my Wierzba family from the villages of Tuszkowy, Skwierawy, Juszki, Trzebun, Grzybowo, Grabowo, Ruda, Korne, Owsnice, and others….
Until then, I’ll keep digging.
