Parchanie Parish Films–A Tobiasz Baptismal Record Goldmine

Yesterday, I was able to search through the Parchanie Parish films at my local Family History Library. The Parchanie Parish is located about 6 miles east of Inowrocław and is adjacent to the villages belonging to the Góra Parish. This neighboring parish of the Góra Parish was where my 4x great-grandparents (Stanisław and Agnieszka Tobiasz) had many of their children. Although, they did have four children in the Góra Parishes’ villages of Łąkocin, Góra, and Dulsk.

As I searched through the films, I was pleasantly surprised by the results that I’ve found. There were four more children that were baptized between 1824 and 1831. The children were as follows: Marianna (1824), Marianna (1826), Szczepan (1828), and Julianna (1831). I will post these records, along with their translations in upcoming posts.

I will order the films for the deaths and marriages in Parchanie. I have not found any deaths records of the children of Stanisław and Agnieszka within the Góra Parish records, so there should be at least a couple in the Parchanie Parish films (namely a Marianna and a Julianna). Also, one of the Godparents to one of the children was named Józef Tobiasz. This could be a brother to Stanisław.
