Marriage of Walenty Cieslak and Malgorzata Tobiasz nee Tokarska (1861)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Walenty Cieślak and Małgorzata Tobiasz nee Tokarska from the Byczyna Parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Bieganowo No 14, 1861
This happened in village of Byczyna on the 24th of November, 1861, at 2 p.m. We declare in the presence of Wojciech Skibiński, a tenant farmer, aged 53, and Jan Woźniak, a farmhand, aged 60, both residents of Buganowo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Walenty Cieślak, a bachelor, a horse groom, aged 24, resident of Bieganowo, born in the village of Kłonowo, son of late Walenty Cieślak, who was a tenant farmer, and Marianna Putrzak, who resides in the village of Bełszewo,
and Małgorzata Tobiasz, aged 23, a day laborer, resident of Bieganowo, widow of Szczepan Tobiasz, who died in the village of Konary and the parish of Pieranie, on the 24th of March 1860. She was born in the village of Łąki and the parish of Boniewo, daughter of the late Michał and Marianna Tokarski nee unknown.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns in the local church, during congregation on three consecutive Sunday’s, on the 10th, 17th, and 24th of November, 1861. No impediments arose and the newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them.
This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by us who can write, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
