Marriage of Franciszek Nowak and Marianna Pluskota (1819)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Franciszek Nowak and Marianna Pluskota, from the Piotrków Parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Wąsewo, 1819, No. 10,

This happened on November 8th, 1819, at 10 a.m., before Us, the Administrator and Civil Registrar of Piotrków, performing the duties of the Registrar of Vital Records for the District of Piotrków, Radziejów County, Mazowieckie Province:

Franciszek Nowak, single, aged 25, according to a certificate excerpted from the books of the Byczyna Parish, the son of Jan and Marianna Nowak.

Marianna Pluskota, aged 21, single, according to a certificate excerpted from the books of the Byczyna Parish, the daughter of Wawrzyniec and Krystyna Pluskota.

The parties who appeared request that we proceed with the celebration of the wedding they have arranged between them, the announcement of which was published before the main doors of our District Court, that is: first on the 28th of October, and the second on the 25th of October, 1819, at 12 p.m. When we were not informed of any obstacles to the aforementioned marriage, and the parents here in attendance hereby consent, acquiescing to the aforementioned request, after reading to the parties and witnesses all the aforementioned papers and Section Six of the Civil Code regarding marriage, we asked the future husband and future wife whether they wished to join with each other in marital union, and when each of them responded separately that such is their wish, we proclaim in the name of the law that Franciszek Nowak and Marianna Pluskota are joined in the bonds of matrimony.

Of which we recorded this record in the presence of: Józef Krolak, aged 34; Wojciech Słuzeński, aged 52; Franciszek Wanecki, aged 40; and Wawrzyniec Witczak, aged 40; all of the witnesses are from the village of Wąsewo. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us who can write, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
