Marriage of Lukasz Pluskota and Marianna Wisniewska (1825)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Łukasz Pluskota and Marianna Wiśniewska, from the Broniewo Parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Szóstka, No.5, 1825

This happened on September 18th, 1825. Before Us, the undersigned Registrar of Vital Records of the District of Broniewo, Radziejów County, Mazowieckie Province:

Łukasz Pluskota appeared, single, aged 25, according to a certificate excerpted from the books of the Broniewo Parish, he resides with his family in Szóstka, his parents are Paweł and Rozalia Pluskota nee Sobieraj – who are farm owners residing in Szóstka,

as well as Anna Maria Wiśniewska, single, aged 16, according to a certificate excerpted from the books of the Broniewo Parish, in attendance with her mother Agnieszka Nadzieja nee Żywiczka, she lives with her family in the village of Szóstka where they are farm owners.

The parties who appeared request that we proceed with the celebration of the wedding they have arranged between them, the announcement of which was published before the main doors of our District Court, that is: first on the 4th of September, and the second on the 11th of September, 1825, at 12 p.m. When we were not informed of any obstacles to the aforementioned marriage, and the parents here in attendance hereby consent, acquiescing to the aforementioned request, after reading to the parties and witnesses all the aforementioned papers and Section Six of the Civil Code regarding marriage, we asked the future husband and future wife whether they wished to join with each other in marital union, and when each of them responded separately that such is their wish, we proclaim in the name of the law that Łukasz Pluskota, single, and Anna Maria Wiśniewska, single, are joined in the bonds of matrimony.

Of which we recorded this record in the presence of: Tomasz Błaszak, aged 40, an innkeeper residing in Szóstka; Jakób Sobieraj, aged 42, a farm owner residing in Szóstka; Wojciech Pluskota, aged 33, an innkeeper residing in Broniewo; and Szczepan Fortuniak, aged 32, a steward residing in Szóstka. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by us who can write, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
