This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Stefan Pakuła and Wiktoria Cierpiatka, from the Lisków Parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Zakrzyn, 1840, No. 3
This happened in the village of Lisków, on the 3rd of February, 1840, at 10 a.m., in the presence of witnesses: Maciej Wośko, aged 40, and Wawrzyniec Maćczak, aged 45, both are farm owners residing in Żychów, a religious marriage was contracted today between:
Stefan Pakuła, aged 21, single, residing with his family in Żychów, the son of Kazimierz and Marianna Pakuła, born in the village of Żychów,
and Wiktoria Cierpiatka, aged 18, single, residing with her family in Zakrzyn, the daughter of Tomasz and Wiktoria Cierpiatka, born in the village of Zakrzyn.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, on the 19th and 26th of January, and the 2nd of February, 1840, at the Lisków Parish Church. No impediment to the marriage arose. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
