Marriage of Marcin Pakuła and Elżbieta Januszek (1842)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Marcin Pakuła and Elżbieta Januszek, from the Lisków Parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Lisków, 1842, No. 1

This happened in the village of Lisków, on the 19th of January, 1842, at 8 a.m., in the presence of witnesses: Maciej Wośko, aged 40, and Wawrzyniec Maćczak, aged 45, both are farm owners residing in Zakrzyn, a religious marriage was contracted today between:

Marcin Pakuła, aged 19, single, residing with his family in Żychów, the son of Kazimierz and Marianna Pakuła, born in the village of Żychów,

and Elżbieta Januszek, aged 21, single, residing in Żychów, the daughter of Szymon and Barbara Januszek, born in the village of Kożminek.

The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, on the 2nd, 9th, and 16th of January, 1842, at the Lisków Parish Church. No impediment to the marriage arose. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
