Pawel Machajewski Born and Baptized in Lubichowo?

After researching the church records from the Starogard Gdański Parish, I have come to the conclusion that my great-great-great grandfather was not born in this parish. To further research the potential birth parish of Paweł Machajewski I have turned to the indexes of PTG and Geneteka.

The search criteria that I am using to locate the baptismal of Paweł Machajewski is as follows:

-born: January 6, 1845 (according to registration of death) or about 1842 (according to passenger list records)
-lived in the village of Sumin and baptized children in the Starogard Gdański Parish
-parents were Frank and Anna

So, I am looking for a baptismal indexed record of a Paweł (Paul, Paulus..), born around 1842-1845 to parents named Frank and Anna, and in a parish near Starogard Gdański.

When I searched the PTG index for the Machajewski surname (search criteria above) I found the results below:

– *Johann Machajewski born in 1845 in Lubichowo, the parents were listed as Franz and Anna Rumanowska

– *Leon Machajewski born in 1851 in Lubichowo, the parents were listed as Franz and Anna Rumanowska

When I altered the search a bit, from Machajewski to Machaiewski (search criteria above), I found the following results from the PTG index:
– *Paul Machaiewski born in 1842 in Lubichowo, the parents were listed as Franz and Anna Rumanowska
– *Joseph Machaiewski born in 1844 in Lubichowo, the parents were listed as Franz and Anna Rumanowska
– *Franz Machaiewski born in 1848 in Lubichowo, the parents were listed as Franz and Anna Rumanowska

After finding a possible match that met my search criteria, I turned to the Geneteka index to search for the marriage entry for Franz Machajewski and Anna Rumanowska. The PTG indexes did not include the marriages for the Lubichowo parish.

When I searched the Geneteka index for the Machajewski surname (search criteria above) I found the results below:
– **The marriage of Franz Machajewski and Anna Rumanowska in 1841, in the Lubichowo Parish.

The Lubichowo Parish is located 4-5 miles away from the village of Sumin, where Paweł and Katarzyna lived before arriving in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I felt that this could be the correct family and parish where Paweł was born. More to come….
