Marriage of Jakob Kochanowski and Konstancja Gregor (1859)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Jakób Kochanowski and Konstancja Gregor, from the Raciążek parish.

Ciechocinek, No. 28, 1859

This happened in the city of Raciążek on the 16th of July, 1859, at 11 a.m. We declare in the presence of: Andrzej Krakowski, aged 55, a cooper residing in Ciechocinek, and Mateusz Wiśniewski, aged 80, a church worker residing in Raciążek, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Jakób Kochanowski, aged 37, Catholic, a widower – his previous wife Justyna died in 1859, a factory worker in Ciechocinek, the son of Stanisław and Marcianna Kochanowski nee Małkowska, born in the village of Zakrzewo,

and Konstancja Gregor, aged 41, Catholic, a widow – her previous husband Andrzej Gregor died on the 25th of September, 1854, an unskilled worker residing in Ciechocinek, born in the village of Markowice – Prussia.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Raciążek Parish, on the 26th of June, the 3rd and 10th of July, 1859. No impediments arose and the families gave their approvals. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
