This is my translation of the Latin language Marriage record of Jan Kobs and Anna Rościszewska, from the St. Stanislaus Parish, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The names are translated into their Polish equivalents. Any errors are completely my own.

No. 8, 1876,

On February 6th, 1876, I, Rev. Ksawery Kralczyńśki, Pastor of the St. Stanislaus Parish, after the banns have been read on three separate Sundays, and no canonical impediment having arisen, with blessing, officiated at the wedding of Jan Kobs, aged 27, single, born in the the village of Stawnica- Złotów Parish, the son of the deceased Andzrej and his widow Antonina Borucka nee Kowalska, residing in Milwaukee for the past 4 years; and Anna Rościszewska, aged 17, single, born in the village of Łosiniec – Popowo Parish, the daughter of Michał and Dorota Rościszewski nee Napieralska, residing with her parents in Milwaukee. The witnesses were: Wojciech Lisz and Piotr Kościszewski.
