Marriage of Tomasz Kacprzak and Magdalena Tomczak (1834)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Tomasz Kacprzak and Magdalena Tomczak, from the Budzisław Kościelny parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Nieborzyn, No. 5, 1834

This happened in the village of Budzisław Kościelny, on the 28th of April, 1834, at 12 p.m. We declare, that in the presence of: Józef Maciejewski, aged 29, a tenant farmer residing in Budzisław Kościelny; and Wojciech Pawłowski, aged 42, a visitor from Budzisław Kościelny, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Tomasz Kacprzak, aged 24, single, a laborer residing in Nieborzyn, the son of Walenty and Franciszka Kacprzak – who are tenant farmers residing in the village of Nieborzyn, born in the village of Biechowo – Grand Duchy of Poznań,

and Magdalena Tomczak, aged 20, single, the daughter of the deceased couple Andrzej and Ełżbieta Tomczak nee Borowicz, born and residing in the village of Nieborzyn.

The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Budzisław Kościelny Parish Church, on the 6th, 13th, and 20th of April, 1834. No impediments arose and no prenuptial agreement was made. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
