Marriage of Antoni Gorzycki and Malgorzata Pilachowska (1816)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Antoni Gorzycki and Małgorzata Pilachowska, from the Radziejów Parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Biskupice, 1816
This happened on February 13th, 1816. Before Us, the undersigned Registrar of Vital Records of the District of Radziejów, Radziejów County, Bydgoszcz Department:
Antoni Gorzycki, aged 23, single, and Małgorzata Pilachowska, aged 20, single, according to a certificate excerpted from the books of the Radziejów Parish.
The parties who appeared request that we proceed with the celebration of the wedding they have arranged between them, the announcement of which was published before the main doors of our District Court, that is: first on the 21st of January, and the second on the 28th of January, 1816, at 12 p.m. When we were not informed of any obstacles to the aforementioned marriage, and the parents here in attendance hereby consent, acquiescing to the aforementioned request, after reading to the parties and witnesses all the aforementioned papers and Section Six of the Civil Code regarding marriage, we asked the future husband and future wife whether they wished to join with each other in marital union, and when each of them responded separately that such is their wish, we proclaim in the name of the law that Antoni Gorzycki, single, and Małgorzata Pilachowska, single, are joined in the bonds of matrimony.
Of which we recorded this record in the presence of: Roch Jankowski, aged 35; Kazimierz Małkowski, aged 46; Józef Małkowski, aged 28; and Piotr Chadyny, aged 50; all are peasants residing in Biskupice. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by us who can write, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
Rev. Leopold Wnorowski, Pastor of the Radziejów Parish and Civil Registrar.
