Baptism of Jozefa Derengowska (1879)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Russian language baptismal record of Jozefa Deręgowska (Derengowska), from the Piotrków Kujawski parish.
Rogalin No. 11 1879
This occurred in the village of Piotrków on the 28th of January/9th of February, 1879, at 3 p.m. Wincenty Deręgowski, a peasant living in the village of Rogalin, appeared in the presence of Kazimierz Deręgowski, age 46, a peasant from Higieniewo, and Filip Segit, age 46, a peasant from Rogalin, and showed us a female child, stating that it was born in the village of Rogalin on this date of the current year, at 11 a.m., to his wife Zuzanna nee Gochiecki (need to investigate correct spelling – UPDATED – correct Spelling = Gorzycka)*, age 23. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Jozefa. The godparents were Kazimierz Deręgowski and Elżbieta Segit. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
Rev. Sobieski, Pastor of the Piotrków Parish and Civil Registrar.
