Baptism of Kazimierz Deręgowski (1838)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Kazimierz Deręgowski, from the Piotrków Kujawski parish.

Palczewo, No. 19, 1838

This occurred in the village of Piotrków, on the 18th of February, 1838, at 12 p.m. Maciej Deręgowski appeared, aged 23, a farm owner residing in Palczewo, in the presence of Wojciech Kolenda, aged 23, a farmer residing in Świesz, and Jan Sekuła, aged 40, a farm owner in Palczewo, and showed us a male child born in Palczewo, on the 16th of February, 1838, at 4 p.m., to his lawful wife Wiktoria nee Pietrasiak, aged 19. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Kazimierz. The godparents were: Wojciech Kolenda and Franciszka Deręgowska. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
