Preface: Almost all of the events above occur in the Siniarzewo Parish or Sędzin Inhabitant Registers. The church records are taken from the LDS films and the Genealogy in Archives website. The Siniarzewo Parish records listed on the Genealogy in Archives website are mostly complete for years between 1838-1910, with the exception of a few missing years here and there. Also, there is one section of years from 1866-1869 that are missing. This missing section puts a gap between my research for a number families that I am researching, including the Jędrzejczak family. Also, I’ve added the marriage record of Stanisław Jędrzejczak from 1841 to help give birth information of his brother (my 3x great-grandfather) Paweł.
Records Summary:
Paweł Jędrzejczak was most likely born in a village that belonged to the Ludzisko (1) Parish, about 1819, to his parents Szymon and Marianna Jędrzejczak nee Imańska. At the time, the Ludzisko Parish was located in Kreis Inowrocław, Grand Duchy of Posen, United Prussian States. Szymon and his family would move across the border to the Congress Kingdom of Poland before 1835. Szymon would pass away in 1835 in the village of Wola Bachorna (2), which belonged to the Sędzin Parish. Paweł’s brother Stanisław found work in the neighboring parish of Siniarzewo. Paweł would join his brother and reside in the village of Gosławice (3) before 1845.
Teresa Skonieczna was born in the village of Zakrzewo (4) on May 1st, 1830, to her parents Franciszek and Katarzyna Skonieczny nee Braszak. Teresa would later move to the village of Gosławice and seek employment.
On January 30th, 1845, Paweł would marry for the first time. Paweł would marry Marianna Woźniak in the village of Gosławice. Paweł’s brother Stanisław was listed as a witness. Paweł was working as a farmhand at the time of marriage. The following year the couple would give birth to their first and only child Józef. On February 1st, 1846, Jozef was born in the village of Gosławice. The godmother was listed as Marianna Jędrzejczak, who was either Stanisław’s wife or Paweł’s mother. Paweł was now listed as a tenant farmer in the village of Gosławice. On December 1st, 1847, Marianna died in the village of Gosławice. She left behind her husband Paweł and their son Józef.
On June 30th, 1848, Paweł would marry Teresa Skonieczna in the village of Gosławice. Paweł’s brother Stanisław was listed as a witness to the marriage. Teresa was 18 years old at the time of the marriage. On September 1st, 1849, the couple would have their first child, he was named Mateusz. Just over two tears later, on November 11th, 1851, their son Mateusz would die in the village of Gosławice. He was two years old. Sometime between 1852 to 1853, Paweł and Teresa would have a daughter named Agnieszka in the village of Gosławice. Unfortunately, on June 26th, 1853, Agnieszka would pass away. She was one year old.
On January 5th, 1854, the couple would give birth to a daughter named Marianna. The couple had to be fond of the name Agnieszka, because they would name a second daughter the same name. Agnieszka was born in the village of Gosławice on January 26th, 1856. Once again and on schedule, the couple would give birth to a child to start the year. On January 9th, 1858, their son Walenty was born in the village of Gosławice. By 1858, Paweł and Teresa would have the following children within their family: Józef, Marianna, Agnieszka, and Walenty. The family was residing in the village of Gosławice, where Paweł and Teresa were working as laborers.
On November 28th, 1859, Paweł’s oldest son Józef died. He was aged 12 years old. The family would add another son in 1860. On September 1st, 1860, Wawrzyniec was born in the village of Gosławice. On February 2nd, 1863, the couple gave birth to a daughter named Apolonia. On June 2nd, 1865, the couple would give birth to a son named Jan. At this point, the family consisted of the following children: Marianna, Agnieszka, Walenty, Wawrzyniec, Apolonia, and Jan.
On July 11th, 1868, the couple had a daughter who was named Anna. Since the Siniarzewo records for this year are not available online or through the LDS, I did not obtain the baptismal record for this birth. Just over two years later, Paweł and Teresa would have their last child. On December 27th, 1870, Kacper Jędrzejczak was born. The family would consist of the following children: Marianna, Agnieszka, Walenty, Wawrzyniec, Apolonia, Jan, Anna, and Kacper.
The first of Paweł and Teresa’s children would marry on September 20th, 1874. Marianna Jędrzeczak would marry Maksymilian Pyzdrowski in the Adolfin Folwark (5), in the Byczyna Parish. Maksymilian was born in Prussia and moved to Russian Poland. He worked as a coachman. Marianna lived in the Adolfin Folwark, working as a domestic worker. They would marry on September 20th, 1874. The couple would have their permanent residence in the village of Toporzyszczewo (6), Gmina Bądkowo in house 1B. They would temporarily move for work in the villages of Gosławice, Toporzyszczewo, and Waganiec (7).
The second of Paweł and Teresa’s children would marry on September 25th, 1881. Walenty Jędrzejczak and Zofia Kacprzak would marry in the village of Gosławice. The couple would have their permanent residence in the village of Gosławice, house 10. Previously, in 1878, Walenty was enlisted in the military and was stationed in Łowiczek (8). The family would travel throughout the area for work and would have children in many different parishes.
On September 26th, 1882, Paweł and Teresa’s youngest daughter, Apolonia Jędrzejczak, married Jakób Polatowski in the village of Gosławice. The family would have their permanent residence in the village of Zakrzewo, house #13, but would baptism their children within the Siniarzewo parish.
Agnieszka Jędrzejczak would work as a laborer and reside in the village of Gosławice. She would marry a widower named Maciej Zieliński on May 10th, 1887, in the village of Gosławice. Maciej was from the village of Krzywosądz (9). Her brother-in-law Jakób Polatowski was listed as a witness to the marriage. Note: I’ve found a couple baptismal records in the Siniarzewo and Straszewo parishes, but have not more or their Inhabitant Register.
Paweł and Teresa’s son, Jan, would enlist into the military in 1886. Then, he would move to the town of Aleksandrów (10) and would seek employment as a domestic worker. He would marry Antonina Mirucka on January 21st, 1890, in the town of Aleksandrów, in the Służewo parish. The couple would have their permanent residence in the village of Gosławice, house 10. The couple would work primarily in the town of Aleksandrów, where they would also reside with their family.
In 1895, Anna Andrzejczak was working as domestic worker in the village of Gosławice. She would marry Kazimierz Urbański on July 2nd, 1895, in the village of Gosławice. Kazimierz was a laborer who was born in the village of Bodzanowo. The couple would have their permanent residence in Kolonia Sęczkowo (11). They would temporarily reside in the village of Miłżynek (12), Zgłowiączka Parish. On April 28th, 1903, Anna Urbańska nee Jędrzejczak would pass away. Her children would remain with her husband, who remarried the same year.
Sometime before 1897, Kacper Jędrzejczak would marry his wife Agnieszka Grabowska. The couple would have their permanent residence in the village of Gosławice, house 10. The couple would temporarily reside in the town of Nieszawa (13) and the villages of Konstantynowo (14) and Dąbrówka (15), both in Gmina Raciążek and the Raciążek Parish.
The last of Paweł and Teresa’s children to marry (that I’ve found) would be Wawrzyniec. According to his permanent residence records, he would marry Teresa Malinowska, who was 13 years younger. Teresa had one child prior to the marriage. Wawrzyniec may have married previously, but I have not found that record. The couple would have their permanent residence in the village of Gosławice, Gmina Sędzin, house 10.
Paweł would pass away sometime before 1904. I have yet to find this death record. Teresa would pass away in Kolonia Gosławice (16) on September 22, 1904.

The map below was taken from Targeo.pl. The map shows the parish location of Ludzisko, where Paweł Jędrzejczak was born, and its distance from the Siniarzewo and Sędzin Parishes. The link for the map can be found here: https://mapa.targeo.pl/Ludzisko
The map below is a combination of maps found on the website for Map Archive of Wojskowy Instytut Geograficzny: http://english.mapywig.org/news.php. The map below is derived from the following areas: Ciechocinek and Radziejów. I used Photoshop to merge the maps into a panorama of the area where my ancestors were located. The map is not 100% aligned, but it does give a general idea of where villages were located.
The villages with “stars” are the Polish villages that are listed above under “Locations”. Only the locations of Paweł and Teresa’s residents are marked with “stars”. The locations of their children are not marked on this map. More information for the villages within this article can be found on the Slownik Geograficzny Translations page on this website: http://www.apagr.com/slownik-geograficzny-translations/
