Kawęczyn has 8 houses with 153 inhabitants (121 Catholics and 32 Evangelical Protestants). There are 67 inhabitants that are illiterate. The post office and telegraph office are located in Murzynno (German name: Morin), which is about 4 kilometers away . The railway station is located in Gniewkowo (German name: Argenau), which is about 9 kilometers away.

The Slownik entry for Kawęczyn did not list a parish, but according to the Family History Library Catalog entry for the Grabie Parish, Kawęczyn (Kawentschin) belonged to the Grabie Parish.
