Marriage of Wojciech Pankowski and Lucja Kochanowska (1835)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Wojciech Pankowski and Łucja Kochanowska, from the Straszewo parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Zakrzewo, No. 8, 1835

This happened in the village of Straszewo on the 21st of November, 1835, at 12 p.m. We declare in the presence of: Mateusz Wiśniewski, aged 35, and Paweł Melczarek, aged 50, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Wojciech Pankowski, aged 25, Catholic, single, a farm owner residing in Zakrzewo, the son of the deceased Wojciech – who was a farm owner – and his widow Franciszka Lewandowska, born in the village of Zakrzewo,

and Łucja Kochanowska, aged 18, single, residing with her family in the village of Zakrzewo, the daughter of Stanisław and Marcianna Kochanowski – laborers residing in Zakrzewo, born in the village of Zakrzewo.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Straszewo Parish church on the 1st, 8th, and 15th of November, 1835. No impediments arose and the families gave their approvals. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
