Marriage of Wojciech Kochanowski and Marianna Balcerak (1885)

This is my translation of the Russian language marriage record of Wojciech Kochanowski and Marianna Balcerak, from the Straszewo parish.

Zakrzewo, No. 31, 1885

This happened in the village of Straszewo on the 25th of November, 1885, at 9 a.m. We declare in the presence of: Jakób Matusiak, aged 48, and Jan Wesołowski, aged 50, both are farmer owners residing in Zakrzewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Wojciech Kochanowski, aged 46, a widower – his previous wife Marianna nee Kokowicz died on the 28th of April, 1885, in the village of Zakrzewo, a farm owner residing in Zakrzewo, the son of the deceased couple Stanisław and Marcianna Kochanowski nee Malecka, born in the village of Gosławice – Siniarzewo Parish,

and Marianna Solińska, aged 30, a widow – her previous husband Józef Soliński died on the 19th of February, 1885, in the village of Zakrzewo, a farm owner residing in Zakrzewo, the daughter of the deceased couple Jan and Elżbieta Balcerak nee Oczachowska, born in the village of Gosławice.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Straszewo Parish Church, on the 1st, 8th, and 15th of November, 1885. No impediments arose and the families gave their approvals. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
