Marriage of Walenty Nowak and Antonina Krolikowska (1889)

This happened in the village of Straszewo on the 4th/16th of June, 1889, at 1 p.m. We declare in the presence of Andrzej Ogrodowski, age 42, and Franciszek Wiśniewski, age 36, both farmers from Zakrzewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Walenty Nowak, age 22, a bachelor, in service, born in and resident of Zakrzewo, where he resides with his family, son of the late Mateusz, a resident and farmer of Zakrzewo, and Maryanna Nowak nee Pankowska

and Antonina Królikowska, a maiden, age 24. She was born in village of Sędzin, parish of Sędzin, residing with family in Zakrzewo, and the daughter of the late Jan, was in service, who resided with his daughter and living wife, Józefa Królikowska nee Adamska, in Czołowo, parish of Radziejów.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the the local parish, at church service, on the 7th/19th of May, the 14th/26th of May, and the 21st of May/2nd of June, 1889. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This religious ceremony of marriage was performed by Reverend Skórczyński, Straszewo pastor and parish administrator. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
