Marriage of Kazimierz Lewandowski and Tekla Skonieczna (1845)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Kazimierz Lewandowski and Tekla Skonieczna, from the Straszewo parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Zakrzewo, No. 7, 1845

This happened in the village of Straszewo on the 18th of October, 1845, at 12 p.m. We declare in the presence of: Józef Matuszak, aged 45, a farm owner, and Maciej Skonieczny, aged 40, a laborer, the uncle of the bride, both residing in Zakrzewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Kazimierz Lewandowski, aged 25, single, Catholic, an attendant residing in Zakrzewo, the son of the deceased Łukasz and his widow Marianna nee Roszak – who resides in the village of Walentynowo, born in the village of Chlewiska – Kingdom of Prussia,

and Tekla Skonieczna, aged 21, single, Catholic, she resides with her family, the daughter of Franciszek and Katarzyna Skonieczny nee Brożek  – who reside in Zakrzewo, born in the village of Zakrzewo.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Straszewo Parish church on the 28th of September, and the 5th and 12th of October, 1845. No impediments arose and the families gave their approvals. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
