This is my translation of the Russian language death record of Mateusz Nowak, from the Straszewo parish.
Zakrzewo No. 11 1880
This occurred in the village of Straszewo on the 11th of May, 1880, at 3 p.m. Franciszek Gajda, age 30, and Jan Kowalczyk, age 43, both farmers in Zakrzewo, appeared and stated that on the 9th of May, 1880, at 1 p.m., Mateusz Nowak, died, age 38. He is survived by his widow Maryanna nee Pankowska, a farmer in Zakrzewo. He was born in the village of Gosławice, parish of Siniarzewo, and was a resident farmer in Zakrzewo. He was the son of Jan and Justyna Nowak nee Roszak, farmers who resided in Krzywosądz. After eyewitness testimony on the death of Mateusz Nowak, this document was read to those present, who were illiterate, and signed by us.
