This is my translation of the Russian language death record of Józef Nowak, from the Straszewo parish.

Zakrzewo No. 5 1881

This occurred in the village of Straszewo on the 23rd of January, 1881, at 9 a.m. Jan Wesołowski, age 53, and Jakub Matusiak, age 47, both residing in Zakrzewo, appeared and stated that on the 21st of January, 1881, at 7 a.m., in Zakrzewo, Józef Nowak, age 2, died. He was born and had died in Zakrzewo. He was the son of the late Mateusz Nowak and his widow Maryanna Nowak nee Pankowska, residents from Zakrzewo. After eyewitness testimony on the death of Józef Nowak, this document was read to those present, who were illiterate, and signed by us.
