Baptism Record of Rozalia Nowak (1863)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Rozalia Nowak, from the Straszewo parish.

Zakrzewo No. 47 1863

This occurred in the village of Straszewo on the 12th of August, 1863, at 8 p.m. Mateusz Nowak, Catholic, farmhand, resident of the village of Zakrzewo, age 28, appeared in the presence of Jan Kowalczyk and Lukasz Cieslakiewicz, farmers, age 30, residents of the village of Zakrzewo, and showed us a female child born in the village of Zakrzewo on the 8th of August 1863 at 8 a.m. to his wife Maryanna nee Pankowska, age 19. At Holy Baptism, performed this day by Rev. Waleryan Surtel a Carmelite from Zakrzewo (?), this child was given the name Rozalia, and the godparents were: Jan Kowalczyk and Elżbieta Cieslakiewicz from the village of Zakrzewo. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
