Baptism of Wincenty Pankowski (1843)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Wincenty Pankowski, from the Straszewo parish.

Zakrzewo, No. 43, 1843

This occurred in the village of Straszewo, on the 4th of July, 1843, at 4 a.m. Paweł Pankowski, aged 28, Catholic, a farmhand residing in the village of Zakrzewo, appeared in the presence of: Grzegorz Szuszman, aged 30, a steward, and Paweł Kochanowski, aged 25, a farmhand, both are residing in the village of Zakrzewo, and showed Us a male child born in the village of Zakrzewo, house #9, on the 4th of July, 1843, at 3 a.m., to his lawful wife, Katarzyna nee Derda, aged 24. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Wincenty. The Godparents were: Paweł Kochanowski and Jadwiga Pankowska. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by Us alone.
