Baptism of Walenty Kochanowski (1848)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Walenty Kochanowski, from the Straszewo parish.

Zakrzewo, No. 6, 1848

This occurred in the village of Straszewo, on the 10th of February, 1848, at 7 p.m. Paweł Kochanowski, aged 28, Catholic, a farmhand residing in the village of Zakrzewo, appeared in the presence of: Józef Matuszak, aged 50, and Józef Kaźmierczak, aged 70, both are farm owners residing in the village of Zakrzewo, and showed Us a male child born in the village of Zakrzewo, on the 6th of February, 1848, at 6 p.m., to his lawful wife, Franciszka nee Krzyżaniak, aged 21. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Walenty. The Godparents were: Józef Krzyżaniak and Magdalena Urbańska. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by Us alone.
