Baptism of Szczepan Pankowski (1846)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Szczepan Pankowski, from the Straszewo parish.

Zakrzewo, No. 58, 1846

This occurred in the village of Straszewo, on the 14th of December, 1846, at 3 p.m. Paweł Pankowski, aged 32, Catholic, a farmhand residing in the village of Zakrzewo, appeared in the presence of: Jozef Matuszak, aged 40, and Józef Kaźmierczak, aged 60, both are farm owners residing in the village of Zakrzewo, and showed Us a male child born in the village of Zakrzewo, on the 13th of December, 1846, at 10 p.m., to his lawful wife, Katarzyna nee Derda, aged 30. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Szczepan. The Godparents were: Roch Kowalczyk and Antonina Zawadzka. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by Us alone.
