Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Stanisław Michalak and Katarzyna Modrzejewska, from the Skulsk parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Popielewo, No 15, 1828
This happened in the town of Skulsk, on the 21st of October, 1828, 12 p.m. We declare, that in the presence of: Andrzej Modrzejewski, aged 34, a farm owner residing in Popielewo, the brother of the bride, and Józef Zachwieja, aged 44, a farm owner residing in Popielewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Stanisław Michalak, aged 26, single, a farmhand residing in Popielewo, the son of the deceased couple Paweł and Marianna Michalak – who were farm owners that resided in Popielewo, born in the village of Dzierżysław,
and Katarzyna Modrzejewska, aged 26, single, she resides with her family, the daughter of Szymon and Jadwiga Modrzejewski – who are farm owners residing in Popielewo, born in the village of Popielewo.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Skulsk Parish Church, on the 30th of September, the 6th and 13th of October, 1828. No impediments arose and no prenuptial agreement was made. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
