Marriage of Jakub Bojanek and Małgorzata Michalak (1826)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Jakub Bojanek and Małgorzata Michalak, from the Skulsk parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Popielewo, No 15, 1826
This happened in the town of Skulsk, on the 1st of October, 1826, at 10 a.m. We declare, that in the presence of: Walenty Lewandowski, aged 31, a farm owner, and Franciszek Wojciechowski, aged 30, a farmer and a brother-in-law to the newlyweds, both reside in Popielewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Jakub Bojanek, aged 20, single, a farmhand residing in Popielewo, the son of Andrzej and Rozalia Bojanek nee Hosza – who are farm owners residing in Rzyszynki – Grand Duchy of Poznań, born in the village of Rzyszynki,
and Małgorzata Michalak, aged 20, single, she resides with her mother in Popielewo, the daughter of the deceased Paweł and his widow Marianna Michalak, born in the village of Popielewo.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Skulsk Parish Church, on the 3rd, 10th, and 17th of September, 1826. No impediments arose and no prenuptial agreement was made. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
