Baptism of Mateusz Nowak (1841)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Mateusz Nowak, from the Siniarzewo parish.
Gosławice, No. 13, 1841
This occurred in the village of Siniarzewo on the 29th of August, 1841, at 9 a.m. Jan Nowak appeared, a tenant farmer and resident of Gosławice, age 40, in the presence of Stanisław Jędrzejczak, age 24, a tenant farmer, and Ignacy Ochocki, propinatora (an alcohol distributor?), age 27, both residents of Gosławice, and showed us a male child born in the village of Gosławice on the 17th of August, 1841, at 4 a.m. to his wife Justyna Sobek, age 30. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Mateusz, and the godparents were: Ignacy Ochocki and Agata Matuszak. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
Rev. Bujakowski, Pastor of the Siniarzewo Parish and Civil Registrar.
Best Regards,
