Marriage of Marcin Zaleski and Antonina Wochna nee Żywica (1833)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Marcin Zaleski and Antonina Żywica, from the Sędzin parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Kuczkowo, No 11, 1833

This happened in the village of Sędzin on the 26th of November, 1833, at 12 p.m. We declare, that in the presence of: Franciszek Musiał, aged 48, the village mayor, and Wawrzyniec Kania, aged 36, a farm owner, both residing in Kuczkowo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Marcin Zaleski, aged 30, single, residing in Witowo, the son of Andrzej and Marianna Zaleski, born in the village of Nożyczyn – Grand Duchy of Posen,

and Antonina Wochna nee Żywica, aged 28, a widow, the wife of a deceased farm owner who died in 1831, the daughter of the deceased couple Wojciech (listed as Jan) and Zofia Żywica, born in the village of Kuczkowo.

The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Sędzin Parish church, on the 10th, 17th, and 24th of November, 1833. Oral consent was given by the families who were present for the wedding and no impediments arose. No prenuptial agreement was made by the newlyweds. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
