Marriage of Józef Żywica and Katarzyna Mazur (1833)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Józef Żywica and Katarzyna Mazur, from the Sędzin parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Sędzin, No 1, 1833

This happened in the village of Sędzin on the 11th of January, 1833, at 2 p.m. We declare, that in the presence of: Piotr Kania, aged 38, a farm owner, and Jan Wochna, aged 58, a farm owner, both residing in Sędzin, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Józef Żywica, aged 19, single, residing in Kuczkowo, the son of the deceased couple Wojciech and Zofia Żywica, born in the village of Chlewiska,

and Katarzyna Mazur, aged 17, single, residing in Sędzin with her family, the daughter of Jan and Tekla Mazur, born in the village of Sędzin.

The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Sędzin Parish church, on the 6th, 13th, 20th, of January, 1833. Oral consent was given by the families who were present for the wedding and no impediments arose. No prenuptial agreement was made by the newlyweds. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
