Marriage of Stanislaw Wojciechowski and Jadwiga Wolecka (1833)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Stanisław Wojciechowski and Jadwiga Smurlat nee Wolęcka from the Byczyna Parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Pilichowo, No 22, 1833

This happened in village of Byczyna on the 23rd of November, 1833, at 12 p.m. We declare in the presence of Szymon Błaszak, aged 40, a laborer residing in the village of Pilichowo, and Andrzej Ćwikliński, aged 30, a farmer residing in the village of Pilichowo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Stanisław Wojciechowski, aged 32, single, a farmhand residing in the village of Borucin, born in the village of Lubomin, the son of Józef and Barbara Wojciechowski nee Kręciejak,

and Jadwiga Smurlat, aged 26, a widow, a housewife residing in the village of Pilichowo, her previous husband died on the 29th of November, 1832, at 10 a..m., the daughter of the deceased couple Stanisław and Teresa Wolęcki (a.k.a. Wolenski).

The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns at the Byczyna and Dąbie Parish Churches, on the 3rd, 10th, and 17th of November, 1833. No impediments arose and the newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us who can write, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
