Baptism of Michal Wojciechowski (1844)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Michał Wojciechowski, from the Byczyna parish.

Szalonki, No. 60, 1844

This occurred in the village of Byczyna, on the 23rd of September, 1844, at 12 p.m. Stanisław Wojciechowski appeared, aged 40, a tenant farmer residing in Szalonki, in the presence of Balcer Gutkowski, aged 35, a tenant farmer residing in the village of Szalonki, and Franciszek Łacki, aged 50, a farmer residing in the village of Byczyna, and showed us a male child born in the village of Szalonki, on the 19th of September, 1844, at 4 p.m., to his lawful wife Jadwiga nee Wolęcka, aged 33. At Holy Baptism performed this day, this child was given the name Michał. The Godparents were: Szczepan Kujawa, aged 40, a tenant farmer, and Marianna Kmieciak. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
