Baptism of Jan Jedrzejczak (1898)

This is my translation of the Russian language baptismal record of Jan Jędrzejczak, from the Byczyna parish.

Bodzanowo, No. 119, 1898

This occurred in the village of Byczyna, on the 27th of September/9th of October, 1898, at 1 p.m. Walenty Jędrzejczak appeared, aged 43, an attendant residing in the village of Bodzanowo, in the presence of Andrzej Baszak, aged 32, and Michał Gnyszek, aged 55, both are farmers residing in the village of Byczyna, and showed us a male child born in the village of Bodzanowo, on the 24th of September/6th of October, 1898, at 4 a.m., to his lawful wife Zofia nee Kacprzak, aged 36. At Holy Baptism performed this day, this child was given the name Jan. The Godparents were: Antoni Klejba and Barbara Graliak. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
