Marriage of Maciej Karpik and Marianna Jąkała (1833)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Maciej Karpik and Marianna Jąkała, from the Bądkowo parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Bądkowo, No 12, 1833
This happened in the village of Bądkowo on the 2nd of September, 1833, at 9 a.m. We declare, that in the presence of witnesses: Jakub Jąkała, aged 30, a farmhand residing in Brzeżno, the brother of the bride, and Michał Więckowski, aged 41, a laborer residing in Bądkowo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Maciej Karpik, aged 41, a widower, a horse groom residing in Bądkowo, the son of Marcin and Franciszka Karpik, born in the town of Służewo,
and Marianna Jąkała, aged 26, single, residing in Bądkowo, the daughter of Jan and Marianna Jąkała, born in the village of Piaski – Grand Duchy of Poznań.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Bądkowo Parish Church, on the 4th, 11th, and 18th of August, 1833. The newlyweds stated that no martial agreement was made between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
Rev. Mateusz Sołtysiak, Pastor of the Bądkowo Parish and Civil Registrar.
Best Regards,
